I'm not even on this server and I understand what is happening on this sever. TentPig, you seem to have trouble reading. If you had read the rules yourself, you would know that you aren't allowed to accuse people of cheating on these forums. If you don't have any helpful tips on this, then why comment?

Forum rules and Evony's Terms of Service are two entirely separate things.

If one of the mods feels I'm violating the forum rules, I'm sure they'll slap me with a violation. Wouldn't be the first time

The solution is simple: Stop using a bot and violating the TOS, and your problem will go away.
k 1...... you sound just like Darthlion..... 2 the issue had nothing to do with botting, it had to do with files getting corrupted during the maintenance. the only cities that were affected were those that were built on/during the current server, all cities built in past servers were totally fine.

Yes Dawn the buildings were fixed but there was no rollback, those stuck with their cities at 0 everything were extremely vulnerable to attacks, some guys in my alliance had their war cities completely wipped out and were unable to do anything about it. their academies were at 0 so they had no techs. this led to some insanely dumb attack reports, like 150k mechs killed with a single archer wave.
we were all just expecting a rollback, so wasint a whole lot of worrying when it was happening, then next day...... well lets just say we had a couple extremely unhappy campers.

P.S. then to top things off.... we dont even get a sorry mail or anything. Realy though it would have went a long way for alot of us to just hear someone say hey sorry we had a slight glitch etc etc

P.S.S. Ive helped run a couple minecraft servers over the past few years, nowhere near as many people as evony but still we would top around 100-200 people on at a time (similar to how many people play on SS78). Glitches happened all the time on the server, but whenever they did happen the admins would always make an announcment explaining what was happening and that they were fixing it. If a bunch of teenagers who run a minecraft server for absoloutly no profit can do it then im sure a couple of game developers who can do the same, just saying.

Go away you *bleep*ing troll. How hard is this to understand? Everything is fine, server shuts down for maintenance, server reboots, some cities now completely empty of all buildings upon login. I would love to hear your explanation of how bots are somehow magically able to demolish all buildings in a city while they are disconnected and the server is down. Oh right, that's completely impossible and absolutely ridiculous, isn't it, you troll?

Obviously a bot did not cause this. We'll check on it.

A glitch due to a faulty plugin or bad plugin relationships on a Bukkit/Tekkit/FTB server is extremely easy to spot and fix. A random glitch on a single server, which was most likely unreported up until this thread was created, out of 100s of servers however, is not.

Coming from a former MC server owner, I can tell you with absolute certainty that these are not comparable situations.

Some bots are actually programmed to demolish all buildings if they weren't paid for.

Buuut when the server's down? Nah. Obviously a minor DB error.

We're working on finding the bug, if we can. I'll know more some time next week, hopefully.
