Account Hacked - Atlantis Stolen CA1

Earlier this morning the account holding Atlantis had the passwords changed by an unknown party. The account holder put in a trouble ticket immediately - as did several members of our alliance. We asked that the account be suspended until the rightful owner could be sorted out. Reasonable request, no?

Well, it's HOURS later and the account has been trashed: troops dismissed, cities NPC'd and Atlantis taken by an unknown player.

If this isn't fixed ASAP - like within 24 hours - you will lose many of us that do spend money consistently. We would like the account rolled back to what it was and the IP address of the offender permanently banned.

This is very unlikely to happen. Chances are if his account was hacked, he shared his logs

As long as he is the only and original account holder all you need to do is...

1-go to the main evony login page
2- in upper left corner click on the "My Account" button
3-enter the email address
4- click on the "Forgot Password?"
5-select the option for getting your password sent to you
6-login, change your password and set all your security up

Now if you don't have access to the email account to recieve the password from Evony then i can only assume your not the original account holder and therefore the keys have been shared and you may be SOL

Dam Sorry to hear kinda cheap pathetic way to play, doubt evony will do anything though. But i am sure you guys can easily get it back and the responsible party will be brought to light and made to pay if not be evony then by the players on that server who hopefully ban together to make sure he or she is never given another moment rest.

Easy fix: Set secondary emails, and Security codes. He couldnt of loss Atlantis if he had a SC code (unless the hacker figured it out) because you
1) Can't adjust tax rate
2) Can't abandon cities
3) Can't dismiss troops or heros
4) Can't dismiss colonies
That being said, they would of had to loy Atl down and send off his troops to die, which is highly unlikely possible to do with such big upkeeps 0,0 holders keep. Next time you have someone hold 0,0 make sure they put SECURITY on their account in that case. He woulda got his acct back very fast, and had little troops killed, no cities lost. GG

Edit: But that does suck though, and tbh i wouldn't play after that, but if it was taken by unknown acct take it back. Easy to bypass bob unless he's buying coins and buying ST's

Yes another cheap trick by people who cannot win by playing the game right. Evony you best pull your head out of the sand and get with it.
Most of CA1 will be walking.

Unless, of course, your e-mail address is for a company you don't work for anymore. Lots of old accounts are like this. Evony doesn't allow them to be updated. In this case, the bad guy appears to have purchased the domain after determining the e-mail address, then did a password reset after creating the e-mail address on his shiny new domain name. Shouldn't take too much to figure out who did it, though I'm sure some steps were taken to cover his/her tracks.

I'm actually looking forward to having a lot more free time on my hands if this isn't resolved -- more money to spend on toys instead of Evony too!

And your stupid to create an evony acct to HOLD ATLANTIS on, if its a WORK email. You should never play evony using work emails, considering those are easiest to hack, considering the work usually has your password in its database, and its easier to hack their database then it is your email or evony.

There are a lot of other scenarios in which one might have to lose access to their original e-mail account. Examples might include hackers, change in employer, moving to another country, probably dozens more. Calling people stupid or anything derogatory without knowing the circumstances is a pretty ignorant approach to life.
