    Default Good Bye Evony

    And all the players.

It was a great game 12 years back, loads of fun.

It was great seeing the development of strategies - until the bots came.

It's a damn shame that the owners didn't care one whit about the game or the customers.

Quite the shame. I haven’t found a game quite like it as well. Really think Evony could have moved forward and been something more than it ended up being, unfortunately the b0ts and crazy coiners ended up slowing the game down considerably. I’ll never forget the rush of teleporting on someone’s HC with only 1m archers and capping it, to only defend for the next few days against a solid few people before either winning the encounter or bricking it.

I still talk to friends I made here, actually was chatting to Imhotep yesterday, reminiscing about the "good ole days".
Playing this game got me through baby twins, a divorce and moving interstate.
I remember playing pre-calc and having to figure out the battle mechanics ourselves..
    I remember the first time I capped a 10..
I remember the first time I wiped a multi-wave 'phract attack just by layering properly with minimal troops..
I remember my bird flashing for months at a time with 1 worker or 1 transporter attacks because I ****ed someone off..
I remember all the smack talk and egos..
    heh, it was fun

    always missing my huni xx

I remember capping my first 10, lol - took 2 weeks to build up enough troops to do it, and I was so scared the first wave was going to get completely wiped out. It was nerve wracking!

in 2009, defending was an art. I remember sending troops to help people defend - figuring out what they needed for layers, sending a bigger hero (because I had a massive 260 attack hero).

Scouting gold to people so heroes didn't leave.

Taking an NPC next to a target and hoping he didn't notice........because warports were still 5 years in the future, lol

Yeah, there was a time when if you reinforced someone with 100k archers, the attackers gave up.

What's it gonna take for someone to finish Daizee's project?

    What exactly is that?

Private Server/Emulator publically on github. Mostly finished just needs a bit of fixing up and QA. It runs but is barely an Alpha state. Hasnt been touched in 7 years now. Daizee was hired to work on it and ended up taking the money and running.

So it is nothing, not a playable server of any kind
