Shawn of the Dead! That's what they did. I think maybe we should have a pre-zombie plan of watching all the zombie videos we can get our hands on for ideas. I know its Hollywood, but hey if zombies do come, I'm gonna start using anything as a reference!

Shawn of the Dead was an awesome movie. My favorite part is when they come out and the fat guy somehow totals their car in less then minute without making a sound.

My Diary...(object: just found out about the zombies so you gotta get your butt moving to someplace safe. From a first person perspective, relate your diary off what I've given you. This can be seen as a single post or you can add to it to make it complex. Progress goes as fast as reasonable, and you can't just say you got overrun in under three minutes. You have 13 people 4 men 6 women 3 children near teens. Try to work with what I gave you and go from there. (sorry if its off topic for the post but I figured this was a good place to put it)

    First sign of infection.

Move to middle Climate area, flat ground on a rock foundation with versatile soil to the north and east, it would be in a valley with only one entrance/acess point. Wall and set up a permanent gate with walls about 20 feet high and a bout 4 feet think. Use the local soil to set up my own agricultural means as well as the local cliff face to build the complex desired. Using my family and whatever else I pick up on the way including two military issue depot trucks set up a simple supply base.

This can all be done on the first day, by the second we might spot one or two zombies which will be taken out with silent range weapons, so as not to attract attention to the area. Continue building the residential fortress complex Including starting on an inner wall just in case the front gate breaks. Two double door access points made of 4 inch thick steel plates at the North and south walls. Walls will only be about 2 feet high by the end of the day.

Third day, smoke and fire from the nearest city is in the distance as well as more zombies have arrived. Two in the night showed up but were still killed (again) more then 200 meters from the gate. By tomorrow the smell of the dead flesh will attract more carrion eaters and we will have our hands full. Cleared all brush from valley entrance in front of the gate, used the wood from that area as well as local tree's to start with makeshift housing, walls will reach 8 feet in height by end of the day. Its made of local rocks and and boulders set up as a crude wall to be a deterrent. Finer walls will be set up in a week (if we live that long).

You know, that gives me an idea. Someone should make an RP game about this... I'd play it.
