    I know some will strongly disagree with this thread, but I think the ability to make as many NPCs as you want means this game is broken.

    By making and farming NPCs I have quickly gotten to the stage where gold or other resources have no value to me. That is wrong for a game of this nature.

    30 lvl 5 npcs farmed a few times a day leads to ridiculous wealth and mega armies. Anyone not following a similar strategy is left so far behind they may as well change their flag to MOO, except I cant be bothered farming them because I get 10 times the gold from npcs.

    I propose that the ability to create npcs be removed. Instead when a city is abandoned it should revert to being an empty flat.

    They would simply need to be removed. You can't code this and not add more bugs than what are already here.

    I really wish they would focus on other aspects of the game soon. It does strike me that a few thousand troops protect so much asset and how you could even call a fully level 10 city 'Barbaric'. That's pretty much what defines a civilization, its tech. When the 'Barbarian' beside me has 4 levels of technology more than me, it sort of makes me the barbarian, no?

    Looking back, it would have been nice to see more attention placed on flats. Instead of base 100 providence, we got 100 per level of the flat to 1000 an hr for a level 10. In addition each flat had a feature resource bonus. So one city might be a farm flat or another an Iron or even a tax bonus. Too much attention was placed on the easy hits like Barb's. Maybe in the future.

    The devs could easily code it to always make level 1s.

    It'd also be nice if the barbs fell in level after each plundering or at least fell a level each day.

    Or they could be like valleys and change a level each day. No different than valleys, and that would really screw with people who create npc farms. Effectively making their farms 10% as useful.

    What for? Anyway lev 5 is not a big deal in terms of resources

    the newer the server is the "bigger deal" lvl5 is, and it's the highest lvl without rockfall.

    but we are supposed to have mega armies, why else would there be war ensigns so that we can send up to 125k troops in one attack.

    But with lvl 5 mass npc farming 125K army isn't a big deal. The only limiter is number of barracks. Easy to create 500K archers and 10 times that in warriors.

    At least you have to wait a bit to produce 15K ballista before going at lvl 10 npcs

    But then the question becomes, where are the other players that are also doing mass farming? Because they are the only worthy opponents. That excludes over 99% of players and really reduces the challenge of the game.

    Also the wealth generated from npc mass farming allows me to mess with world economy by pushing up and down commodity prices all by myself just for kicks. That is ridiculous that I can do that.

    I believe that npc mass farming breaks the game.

    There are many other problems with the game but they are not game breaking in my opinion. Mass farming is a game breaker.

    I am doing this on server 8 which is relatively new

    yeah i have lvl 9/10 everything and majority of my cities have a -2.5+ mil food deficite PER hour.. impossible to sustain w/o farming 72+ lvl 5 barb cities a day
    but even more difficult to take on lvl 10npc's to get justice medals w/o massive amounts of troops
    I have severe ADHD, Dyslexia, and I'm easily distracted by shiny th... HolySmokes A SPORK!

    I am NPC creating and farming because that is the only way I can build up a big enough army to capture a level 10 NPC city. I cannot get Mich scripts, so capturing a level 10 barb is my only possibility of getting up to level 10. The devs don't seem to have thought this game through at all.

    lol hard to belive you are able to collect big army and manipulate with prices .....if you would be able you would understand pretty fast that NPC 5 is not a big deal....try to fead 500k archers with NPC 5 in practice lol

    Try to delay it......its last quest for you, after where will be nothing to do for you.....F*** boring
