I think what amazes me most is the effort people go through to bash the game. If the game is so bad, then you are wasting your time playing, then you spend months on the forums complaining about how bad it is, which is a further waste of your time.
Im ranked in the top 200 on my server, have 2 level 10 Town Halls, 3 level 10 walls, I conquered a lvl 10 NPC and have never spent a penny on Evony.
It seems to me that those people complaining simply don't want to work at the game, and that's fine. If you want a game you don't have to put any effort into, go find one. Don't scream for months about how this on doesn't give you what you want. No one is locking your computer to Evony and forcing you to play.
Personally, I'm doing just fine. I like the game. Is there room for improvement? LOL A thousand times YES! But its growing, slowly, and will stand or fall on its on merits. If I decide that the game is not going the direction that I'm looking for, I will quietly fade away and go find something else to do. I'm sure not going to rant and rave on the forums... "OMG u hav ruenid da gam 4 me. u suxors. me gon cal da attny genrel n file a clas aktion law sute 2 get my mony bak. U hav violited my civle rite ov fredim of speach..." My god.... Offer constructive criticism and play the damn game, or go find something that suits you better.
I even hear people saying that they have never seen this many issues in an online game. If that's true, you haven't played many. Evony runs like clockwork compared to some I've played or tested. I've seen games go full blown P2P before 90% of the issues were addressed..and Ive seen them fade from the internet for doing so.
Ranting may get you another cookie from your mommy, but its not going to get the devs attention to fix game issues. If your post, or report, begins with..."OMG U guys are stupid..." That's as far as they are going to read. Post you issues and go back to playing. If they aren't addressed to your satisfaction, go play something else and stop beating your head against the wall. The wall doesn't feel a thing and you are a little short of brain cells already, and really can't afford to lose any more.
