    Default L10 construction

Getting a new city up and running is worth a lot. In hostile conditions, every minute counts. If you play the game for 3 months, thats about 24000 hours. Saving 4% is 1000 hours of build time.

    Even 4% helps.

Plus researching all the techs is a goal anyway.

I'm sorry. Did you just thank Evony for conning you out of the additional 6% (1500 hours) it took away through blatant misrepresentation for its own personal profit?

Do those precious minutes not count in hostile conditions or is that faint whiff of chlorophyll more than mere coincidence?

For the other people of the "Well, its so obvious" crowd, yes, I fully realize that a 100% decrease in build time makes for instant builds, but I know that there are better ways around this problem than blatant misrepresentation.

    Yes.

    No.

Stop getting all worked up because you guys assumed something and were wrong.

If by "Obvious" you mean exceptionally misleading when using two very different formulas to calculate what 10% means, then yes, its very obvious.
Well, I partly agree with Zenrage...

I did understand that 10% off was 10% off what was left remaining... so if you had 90% left your next 10% only takes you to 81% and not 80%. So thats fine and I think everyone should understand that.

However, I thought the same calculation was used both ways so that when you enhance production speed by 10% it too is 10% of the "current or new" value. The end result (lvl 10) should be an enhancment in excess of 100%.

At the end of the day... IT JUST A GAME!! I will still play...

    Hahaha. No problem.

I myself hate that saying. If someone assumes something and I don't, they've made an ass out of themselves. I had nothing to do with it ;-D

actually, construction says "Every single upgrade enhances construction speed of buildings and fortifications by 10%"

this means that it's a 10% speed increase, not a 10% reduction of total build time, this means that a 100% speed increase, means that they are building at 2x speed, which is a 50% reduction in build time... imo that makes more sense, same with military science and metal casting, a 100% training speed increase (lvl 10) is effectively a 50% reduction in training time.

At least it isn't as misleading as the privateering tech:

The tech states that it will allow you to reduce the ABILITY of warehouses by 3% each upgrade, with max tech allowing a 30% reduction in ABILITY. In actual fact it allows the player to plunder 3% more from warehouses each upgrade each time they attack, with an end result of plundering 30% of a warehouses stock with full tech.

That is misleading and needs to be changed.
