    Text Did the Devs...

    ... intend to create a balanced game or, as some ultimas suggest, did they intentionally design Evony to be unbalanced so exploits could be found and abused?

    I answer yes to first question

    Also yes to what people wanted for the second

    You cant have it both ways, one way noobs complained they get plunders, other way people complain the game is too hard.....Thats it off to play windows spider solitaire on easy level for me

    I'm not sure but they made something alot of people want to play and they did a damn good job. It has a few potholes and I am sure I will gripe and complain some more in the future but they really should know, people don't complain about something they don't care about.

    Well, some players who exist for ganking and griefing want 50 million troops in an army and are actively looking for exploits to make this possible even though the design clearly was not meant for massive armies.

    The only conspiracy theory I believe is the devs made wall defenses uber to have some player retention. Yes I'm wearing my tin foil hat cause UFOS are suckling at my brain.

    Me too then. The current condition still requires that you have a basic understanding and devotion to the game but doesn't make day 8 a parasitic nightmare for 80% of the people who aren't here for the soul purpose of blind war and pointless conquest.

    And btw that promotes that you only hit the weak. So that day 8 of parasitic nightmare is increased because people attack the defenseless and weak, instead of crashing wave-after-wave of their armies into a solid wall (all pun intended).

    Not to mention that NPCs have been altered 3 times. The devs knew about NPC farming and only changed the gold rate of the lv 5s. Then they changed the regen rate of the NPCs as a kneejerk reaction to noobs complaining. Finally, they up the regen rates, supporting more NPC farming. If they had a problem with NPC farming, they would have removed the ability to do it. It's not hard. This is a text based game and those games do NOT have complex scripts.

    This is an opinon which has no basis in fact. The mechanics were flawed not designed to be exploited. To even suggest such a thing ignores the business side of the company.

    I don't believe you understand how programs work. Fixing problems is a natural part of the process. You go in EXPECTING problems and even strategize for problems before they happen. You also have to expect overlooked problems which were not intended - exploits.

    Game cents seem to make a lot of people angry, yet, has nothing to with this conversation.

    No. Problems which needed to be addressed were addressed.

    Of course, game cents is where the game's revenue is generated - this is also not part of the discussion.

    If it is an opinion, then why is it a fact that my army is the size it is? Oh that's right, you don't know what your taking about. And as for the business side, weren't you shot down in that thread too? Yep, sure were. You said you were a game designer(which no one believes) so why don't you quit your whinning, and make a non-flawed game yourself? Answer: Because no one would want to play your carebear "let's all just be friends" "tribal hugs" game.

    Also, bugs are IN THE PROGRAMMING. They are not created after.
