    Arrow Evony's War Against Offense

I hope the devs read this because this directly affects their bottom line (aka people buying game coins).

First it was the walls and imba archer towers, which i was ok with.
Now its taking away NPC cities, which will force people to have substantially smaller armies. Making city takeovers even more impossible.

Curbing offense so much makes people less likely to buy a TP scroll to run away or truce agreements to hold off for a while...esp when someone has invested so much time into their cities and dont want to lose them.
Why are you guys discouraging player interaction which makes every mmo fun?

    I hate you

What if... just what if... the last fix was intended to remove as many forces as possible until this next fix, wherein, players will have to compete with each other a lot more, and defenses are nerfed some in the next patch?

    It's entirely possible.

Sometimes I think Evony made a "political" move to limit offense to try to have more player retention. But I know that's stretching it. I more believe the team tried to do something about the worthless fortifications at that time, and went a little too far the other way. It is within the history of the game that their nerfs and changes went a little too far.

I'm hoping as I sit quietly and build my troops and merely attack barb towns, that they will make a comeback change. Even to limit the wall's range bonus to only fortifications is a step in the right direction.

I don't feel comfortable playing this game when attack and defense is not equal. I didn't mind defense getting the homefield advantage off fortifications, but now the attacks are so limited and futile.

You know, for someone who attacks logic, saying it's just a players opinion, you sure to post alot of opinion. You're just prejudice against good players because they beat you off of Ultima and they are now beating you off here (if you actually still play which is doubtful).

    Kempion,

I think you give them way to much credit. These patches/updates have only been to hinder the game not expand it.

I take the most pleasure in this game by destroying people who mess with me or just to do it for fun. I'm sure alot of people feel this way too. They are taking away from my fun and if it isn't fun for me (or other people) they will lose alot of players and money.

I think the devs should really step back and take suggestions from the people who actually play the game. There are alot of good ideas that come from people on the forums that make more sense in trying to balance out the game without making people want to quit.
