I see my fan club is here.

Let me try this another way.

Why have food and farms in the game at all if not to push their capacities to their limits. If you remove the foos requirement, then you have no need of food or farms beyond a mere trace for construction. When construction is finished then the farms/food has zero value.

That argument already applies to stone. In fact this argument applies far better to stone then food.

You need food for just about everything. You need it for some techs, all buildings I think, and all troops, and many if not all fortifications. You do not need stone for most, if any troops. You do not need stone for some fortifications.

That means after you are done maxing out your buildings stone is completely useless save for replacement fortifications.

With such a change however, food would only be completely useless save for building replacement troops and fortifications. This means Evony end game would still require far more food then stone, as troops are used up and replaced at a far faster rate then fortifications ever could be.

Additionally you argue that farms are pretty useless, as you argue that no one should have more then five farms in their very largest cities. That puts base production at under 25k per hour. With food still being required to replace troop and fortification losses, it is still quite reasonable to assume that people would still need more then 25k base food production per hour with such a change implemented.

Lastly, this would actually destroy a favored griefing technique. Right now if you want to cripple a newbie, you attack their lakes and then drop the loyalty of their city to under 10, letting their troops riot over the lack of food, and cause them to leave without having to fight them.

With such a change, people would be forced to actually fight newbie and turtle troops behind their massive wall buff and destroy them, with all the unbalanced losses on their side if they wish to take their target's troops away.

Armies would be capped, where as now they are not. (people still have millions and tens of millions of troops.)
Food would still be far more useful and in much higher demand then stone ever will be.
Griefing will be harder, more costly, and less effective.

    Your arguments are groundless.

Strange conversation considering that there is a cap. Making it population-based makes sense. You have to feed and house them...
