Reality is nothing more than the interpretations of electrical impulses by the brain, which we receive through various means of interpreting external stimuli.

No, that's what we interpret to be reality, not the absolute reality itself.

Yes but the point is we can never know what absolute reality is because all we can ever know is our interpretation of it. There is no way for us to remove our perception to form an absolute recognition of an absolute.

In the immortal words of Clark W. Griswold while trying to take his family on a nice simple vacation....

"You want to know what I think? I think you're all [bad word here] in the head."

I respectfully disagree..., If we place ourselves in the whole of reality, by disregarding our perception, and replace our desires with the nothing, we can quietly view the whole of reality.

Wow very intelligent, I agree with most of your thoughts on reality DieForelle. If only we had people like you running the world, too bad you joined Evony otherwise you might have had a productive life.

P.S. was this copied from somewhere else? Seems quite well written I would be surprised if it was original. And if it is, I would like to give DieForelle an honorary PHD in philosophy!

+Rep for quoting one of the greatest philosophers of all time. NOTHING beats his speech in Christmas Vacation about being so happy they're whistling Zippity-Do-Dah.......lol

I sort of agree, but I do think we all will be held down by our limited perception of reality. One human can only know so much. We will always be faced with the delema that we are singular, mortal beings with our own twisted and narrow perspective on the universe. In that sense we are held back by our limitations. However, by learning from eachother and our ancestors we can become so much more as a species. If everybody in the world devoted half their time to helping everybody else in the world, instead of concentrating on their own selves, the world would be made such a better place. A single perspective on the universe is like a grain of sand in the ocean. The grain of sand will experience so much, going across vast areas of ocean and land. But it alone doesn't matter, it alone doesn't make a beach, or a sand castle, or a sea floor. You can't tell anything about the ocean just by looking at one grain of sand. But when all those grains of sand are put together, you get a beutiful feat of nature.
