    Default Who programmed these defenses?

    1 Transporter costs : 600 food, 1500 lumber and 350 iron.
    1 Defensive Trebuchet costs : 600 food, 8000 stone.

The game's AI wasted TEN Defensive Trebuchets to kill a single Transporter, nevermind that even if there were no wall fortifications the one lone transporter would die after 100 rounds for failing to breach the wall. Nevermind that there are 1500 perfectly good archers towers that can kill the 1 transporter without using up anything. Programmers, please buy more brains?

Maybe thats a good thing...every thought of sending multiple single transporter attacks against the enemy to clear out the trbuchets, so your ballista and catapult can attack unharmed ??

For one use and reload, they reload awfully fast, eh?

Defense is a disaster right now. There is simply no reality or reliability to any of it. Our alliance is convinced Evony is a grad school sociology thesis. First, we aren't giving them medals anymore so they subject themselves to sleep deprivation farming valleys. Then, let's take their food away and see what they do. Oh, looks like they need to attack players to feed their armies now. Hmm.. let's make defense unbeatable. Coming soon? let's put catapults in lakes so they don't get food bonuses and can't farm medals there.
those scout bugs? when the scouts die on abatis? the dev/grad student is watching you
    bugs you say? heh...

I havent had a problem with medals, other than justice, have multiples of all others and thats just from hitting barbs, not from early valley attacks, so now i have convinced myself that i must build up an army large enough over a few days to land multiple hits on a lvl 10 barb city in a vain attempt at justice medals

That would be an exploit every bit the same as scout spamming a city to lower its loyalty or scout spamming a cleared valley for medals. Remember, it is only a good thing until people use that exploit against you.

is it an exploit or using game mechanics to the best of their ability, to me exploits are something that can be tricky to do, is plain unfair to others or has a special way to be performed, such as hacks fps games and things like that, sending transports to trigger trebiuchets isnt an exploit as its available to evrybody and doesnt require any special knowledge to do it

Again, people need to start being fired.

    Edit:
Though That does tell us how to get rid of that rock throw

Here is my secret: if you send 4k of scout to attack a cities, you can take out 400 of ballistas per attack

if you send 10 wave of scout attack toward a city, you can take out 4k of ballista before your main force arrive. I did use this tactic and it works finely.

maybe you missed my thread on this located here: http://bbs.evony.com/showthread.php?t=21766

alright so 1000 warriors is a success

took out 331 traps, 17 trebuchets, and 51 rolling logs

so using math, if you send 8 waves of 1000 warriors you'll eliminate 2648 traps, 136 trebuchets, and 408 logs leaving the barb town with:

    1792 rolling logs
    3666 archer towers
    1239 trebuchets
    8352 traps
    5500 abatis

if you have multiple cities near a level 10 or allies near it, you could time dozens of attacks to hit right before your main attack greatly limiting archer/ballista casualties.

worth it? i guess it's up to the player. but definitely a strategy that shouldn't be ignored.

    1000 warriors cost:
    80,000 food
    100,000 wood
    50,000 iron

331 traps, 17 trebuchets, and 51 rolling logs cost:
    42,050 food
    471,500 wood
    169,100 stone
    16,550 iron

and on top of all of that, the warriors gain prestige and hero experience (or honor if it was PVP)

you'd think archer towers would be able to pick off the 1,000 warriors before they even came close to a single trap

Holy crap. I'm seriously concerned now. Is there an intelligent person among the devs? Apparently, not only do trebuchets just plain suck but they only target mechs.
