How do you attack from a valley, you dont have food there to supply the troops with for the attack, nor do you have a feasting hall in the valley for heroes to reside...i am thinking yo uwant to be able to move troops great distances and reside in a valley from which you can spam attacks quickly giving the defender little or no notice...if the devs did implement attacks from a valley, i suggest tripple or quarduple food cost for the inconvenience of the defender waiting to be attacked

I don't know, where do they get the food from when they're camping out there in defense mode?

    Default Bad Idea

Being able to attack from a valley is a bad idea.

Let's say someone is 12 hours away from me by catapult. If I can attack by valley, all I have to do is scout spam the valleys he owns but are undefended (which would be all of them) and take possession of those valleys.

Then, since those valleys are mine, the benefits from my level 9 and 10 relief stations would kick in, and that 12 hour transit time for an attack then becomes something like a reinforcement trip that would take only a few hours.

So now I'd have an army parked a few minutes away from his city, and I could repeatedly attack him from the valley. No long round trips - just keep hammering the guy from the valley every few minutes. Then cap his city and turn it into an NPC. Then go on and do it to the next guy.

This is not a good idea.

I agree with EvNoob the point in making troops travel time different is for the sole purpose that it takes time to move them. If somehting like this was allowed i think the time to take a city should be 24 hours that way the person has time to get on and defend. But then 24 hours to take over nah just make a temp city build it up to a rally point then attack from there BAM!!! problem solved
