Bah, Darwin has to be defended now? The Rainbow is Evony 101.

There, now you have seen a successful rainbow. Because Evony is turn based, layering melee units can delay the enemy infantry's close on your archers. The lone Cav engages the mass of warriors and keeps it from advancing for a turn while the warriors kill it. Then the lone pikes does the same. Then the lone sword. Then the lone warrior.

Because of the rainbow, the enemy warriors were delayed long enough for the heavily outnumbered archers to whittle them down to impotency before the close at long last came.

And no one said that it was impossible to get a medal without getting your people killed, just that you were rewarded for it with higher probability.

No one knows all of Evony's game mechanics, because not even the mods are given that information sadly, but a lot of people make a hobby out of experimenting and developing more efficient and better methods. It is foolish to reject their wisdom without first bothering to test them, as you could find yourself ignorant of the very basics.

    Like Layering.

    Stay on topic.

Here's the deal. No matter if the devs announce updates, fixes or anything else, there will be a barrage of compainers. So, why should the devs keep players updated and why should players expect to be kept updated?

The jeers always outnumber the cheers 100 to 1.

Kassikas, thank you for that information and explanation. I'll be passing that on to my alliance members.

This is COMPLETELY untrue and BS.

I spent 3 straight days with between 15 & 20 pages of attack reports each day farming medals on lvl 2-4 flats/Fields/NPC's. In that entire time I got 1 cross medal and 0 rose.

I switched to a much smaller force where i would lose 10-25 guys a raid and got a medal roughly 1 in 5 attacks. Got 7 rose medals (and more cross then i ever know what to do with) in one day, less then 2 hours.

So if you're going to come tell us how your game works, make sure you actually know what you're talking about first. Medal drops are much more complicated then just what you kill.

Is it possible to get medals without taking losses?
Ya it is, but is it even more likely to get medals if you send a very small force that is barely on the border line of wining?
Well if you don't believe the answer to be yes then you obviously have never tried this method.

Ok to answer your question jrock no that most likely wont be affected its the fact that players send troops to be slaughtered agains a lvl 10 barb city with just the intent to gain prestige and nothing more. that is what makes it an exploit is when a player attacks an npc just for prestige and nothing more if they kept it then most likely players will be up in millions of prestige within around a month. so yes it is an exploit prestige is to be earned not given to players who decided they wanted to send hundreds of thousands of troops in waves to be slaughtered against a wall.

    Just my 2 cents.
