Default Honorable Play? NERF Advanced Teleporters!

    The Essence of Evony Game

The Essence of Evony is a spirit of sportsmanship and fair play in waging battles, forging alliances and conducting the affairs of your cities. Any unfair, unreasonable or immoral tactics or behaviors are strictly forbidden. Game play is what Evony is all about, and the Evony Team strictly enforces the rules that govern game play, to keep Evony enjoyable for everyone. The Evony Team considers most conduct to be part of the Game. Evony is a "player vs. player" game, and players should always remember to defend themselves in areas where the members of hostile alliances can attack. That said, if you feel an opponent is using a strategy or tactic that breaks the game rules, we suggest you contact the Evony Team's in-game customer service representatives to report the abuse. We hope our players can be build a civilized and friendly spirit of competition in the Evony world!

Allowing people with money to burn to buy Advanced Teleporters for the sole purpose of "warping" all over the world from one region to another, raping and pillagine castle after castle is NOT what I call HONORABLE conduct.

ADV TELEs should be given to begin with instead of the regular ones. Give noobies noobies 2, 3 at the MOST. After that, your city STAYS WHERE YOU BUILT IT. (or moved it to once you decided on an Alliance)

    ...

if i had the computers and the time, i too could play 3 or 4 accounts. make my own Alliance. feed myself troops and resources. build a HUGE military machine. and then buy some ADV TELEs and "own" others. but i dont have 3 or 4 or 5 computers.

if you READ the quoted statement from Evony that i opened this thread with, it clearly states that their INTENTION was for fair and balanced game play for all players.

this clearly is not how things are unfolding. i've cried fowl and you guys can't stand it. you like that there is an exploit in the game and you like that you are able to capitalize on it. you like pummeling those under you. you are bullies and mean spirited. you are a sign of the times and the world we live in.

I'm already waiting for the flamers to show up. Say what you want. I've read it before. It's wrong. This is NOT what Evony INTENDED Teleporters to be used for.

And I'm asking Evony to put their money where their mouth is.

    Fix this exploit. Please

PS- yes. it was posted in wrong place before /nod

Maybe both teleporters should work like this...

    1) Pick where you want to show up. (random teleport means you don't know)

    2) This spot is now reserved for you and sparkles with your name and typical city info. No one can touch it.

    3) Wait 2 days. Then the teleport warps you to the new spot. Until then, you operate from where you were.

    Exploiters ruin everything.

I actually agree with the OP. Not for the same reasons (I don't think anything in this game is "unhonorable," with the exception of hacking an account), but I do think selling advanced TPs is stupid.

I mean, it's a friggin CITY. Cities don't friggin move. What is this, Voltron?

I can understand the need for 2 or 3 advanced teleports for the same reasons the OP mentioned, but selling them just turns some cities into aircraft carriers.

    Exactly, EvNoob

And ummm... last I knew, they didnt have aircraft carriers in the 'Teen centuries. Or star ships. But we have both star ship/carriers in this game.

And when I say it's not honorable, I mean the tactic. It's a lame exploit of a mechanic - IMO - NOT intended for this use. Someone always HAS to find a way to cheat tho. Always

I have no problem with projecting power. It's what armies are for. But don't make them fly. Make them bivouac first. Then build a keep if they like. But if they want a level 10 City/Fortress, they need to build it from scratch just like the rest of us! THEN you can project your power. This would be what I call fair - and realistic - play amongst players. Right now all we have is the rich boys ... or girls, being able to dominate thru financial advantage. Again, this is NOT what they claim to want in the "rules".

    Come on, Evony, fix this!

Evony won't fix this, as this is working as intended.

It's the Picard Manuever! (Star Trek geek)

I find it funny when 10 alliance member come out of 'warp' at the same time and take over a player. I'm like... Hmmm, maybe Merlin... Or it was Morgan le Fay! That's it!

The problem I have is not that they can teleport into an area to attack someone but that they can teleport OUT of an area to avoid being attacked.

What i want is a delay on teleporting [even as little as 8 hours is enough]. Use teleport item, pick location, timer activates and you teleport when the timer stops. This way you can't just teleport a city at 1 loyalty to avoid losing it.
