Um, this is in regard to the Lost Cents issue. A number of players have had their game cents stolen by Evony bugs, which represents, in many cases, *real* investment into this game. NOW, Evony is having a promotion: reinvest your money, and we'll quintuple your investment (buy $5USD, get $25USD in return).

That sure may sound like a good deal -- it does to me. But whoa -- I've already had money stolen. Which begs the question: why would anyone invest money that will likely be lost, with no effective method of addressing grievances, not to mention recoup their money?

Bad taste, Evony. Also sounds like a Ponzi scheme.... Evony Madoff?

To me it mostly just seems insulting the way they add these rewards after all the people have spent money. I'm sure anyone that spent money has got to be fuming now that they are giving away 5x the amount. Nice way to treat the original people that supported the game, lol.

your post really is irrelevant, that's like buying a TV then said TV get put in a sale 2-3 months later, would you expect to get a refund on the amount you could have saved?

Actually most reputable companies do allow you to come in with your receipt and receive a refund for the difference of the sale price within a set number of days of the original purchase.
Just most people don't know or are too lazy to take advantage of this.

It's called a price protection policy and as I said most stores have one:

Note:I used BestBuy's policy not because I like the store [I actually HATE Best Buy] but because the majority of people on the forums will be familiar with the company.

You are correct on that, however most of the time it's 7-14 days although there are a few places that go as far as 30 days.

It's a common policy, I agree. I don't think they should be forced to do so though, because items early on may easily be considered more value than the same items at this point, as a beneficial item early in a server's development would be more value to you for getting 'ahead' of the pack than one later. I definitely would never buy one of their promotional packages though, just because of the fact that their customer service record is appalling at best, and I definitely do not trust them to deliver coins to me accurately for 15 weeks or however long this 'deal' lasts.
You load sixteen tons, what do you get
Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go
I owe my soul to the company store

No not at all, i would not look for a refund, instead i would purchase the TV that is on sale for my granny, only because she says i'm special and it might keep her indoor's so she doesn`t lose all her money down the bingo.

Problem is Paypal won't support you if its a virtual item. Which Evony knows now and its why they've stopped even replying to disputes.

Eventually Paypal will get enough complaints to cancel their account.
