paypal does not cover intangible goods (ie: virtual goods)

the best you could do is file a chargeback with your credit card and hope that they cover virtual goods

a chargeback is not going to give you a damn thing. sorry bub. you spent money on a game run by chinese gold farmers. you knew what you were getting into before spending the money.

Just contact your bank and have the charges reversed, I already did it, it works. The bank actually mentioned that they have already noticed a lot of complaints about this company, as other people have already reversed on them. I know paypal will close a company's account if it gets too many chargebacks or complaints, wondering if that will happen here?

Got my money back, so you're wrong.

It's not even all that hard to do. Took 2 phone calls and I checked my acount online and it was back in 6 hours.

On a side note, I wasn't the first to do it. Seems this company has a VERY bad rep. as they usually investigate these claims. However, once a Co. has a certain number of complaints reached, they put it on some list.

you didn't get it back from paypal

if you got it back from your credit card company then they instantly give you a credit while they do the investigation. if they don't cover intangible goods then will end up reversing the credit.

i've bought and sold tons of virtual items and know the policies pretty well. it's close to impossible to track virtual goods so most companies decide to not cover them at all.

if you were successful why don't you post which credit card company gave you a charge back?

Ah however as there is nothing in rules or regulations regarding this incident a suit may be filed for damages. If you really have to make a point and get your money back you may be able to coordinate a firm to take on a class action suit for damages and possibly several other issues.

Don't bother, just do a reversal with your bank, its much faster and you get your money back fast! Not to mention the banks have already put this company on some type of list for the amount of chargebacks and complaints it has already gotten. They could lose their paypal account if they get too many (remember when IGE lost their paypal account lol).

My bank told me I will have the money back by the end of today.

    Was fast and easy.

excellent. I personally never purchased coins. My second day here I won 300 on the wheel. I spent about 20 of them and the next day they were all gone. I sent over 10 request for support on the matter and did not hear a peep. From there on I decided to never open my wallet here, which i do freely on other games. I have been on Tribal Wars for years now and have been a supporter since my second month. not here, not with these people. I hope everyone get's back every dime spent.
