Am i correct to understand that for all people who's prestige has been taken away this has now been restored?
Prestige should be reset to 0.
There should be a penalty, but less severe. Remove extra Prestige and maybe a little more.
Only remove the Prestige gained through exploiting.
No penalty at all. Leave all the Prestige they gained.

Some prestige has been restored to me. 450k out of the 665k I had.
Where is the rest?
Where is my apology for being labeled a cheater/exploiter/CRIMINAL?!?
To those who supported me TYVM!
To those who judge without evidence...no comment.

im all for giving the prestige back to people who didnt cheat but daydreamer was gaining about 100k prestige a day there for awhile. no way he wasnt cheating like crazy.
The answer is clear. The deeds done.
Time to close this one out.
(There are going to be ten threads made everyday about this topic anyway.)
Today we finished reviewing all of the appeals to the Prestige losses and performed 1 of 4 actions, based on all available data and the appeals:
- Full Restore. This was done for players we believe had been wrongly reset and had not been using the exploit to gain Prestige.
- Restoration to a point prior to the Prestige spike.
- Restoration to a point prior to the Prestige spike, minus 20%.
- Complete reset.
The choice was based on the severity and the extent to which the player abused the bug. Note that for players we weren't sure if they were exploiting intentionally, we just removed the massive Prestige gain shortly before the fix. We don't think these players were intentionally exploiting but it would still not be fair to let them keep all the excess.
Thanks for your patience while we worked on this. I know not everyone will be happy with the result, but our goal is still to discourage exploits and make Evony as fair as possible.
Legendary Hero
Dawn/Nathan,
thank you for the time and energy which must have gone into this process. As one of the affected players, I appreciate the attention that was paid to this matter.
I suspect that yo are right, some folks will still be unhappy with the outcome, but I suspect, given the obvious attention paid by the staff of Evony to the issue, all will at this point be willing to let the matter drop.
However, for most of us who were affected, the bigger issue was not the loss of prestige, but rather the malignment of being called "cheaters" who engaged in "crimes." Those remarks stung.
I believe that your statement above implies that you and the Evony team no longer feel that this is the case. It would be nice if you'd say that, if only to mend fences.
More importantly though, going forward, what is the policy on "exploiting loopholes" or perhaps more fairly "taking advantage of beneficial strategies?"
How shall we know if a technique is an exploit or simply a good strategy? What shall we expect in the way of "corrections," when a technique is retroactively determined to be unfair?
Again, thanks for opening up the dialog, for listening to your audience, for taking immediate action when you felt it necessary, and for later refining that action after havin the opportunity for reflection.
I sincerely thank you, Dawnseeker, and your fellow Evony staff members for taking the time to review the appeals and for helping us.
