Suiciding units for prestige is not an exploit. It costs much time and resources to build these units. You then trade them in for prestige. It is not free in any way and what you gain, prestige, does not give you any advantage (beyond 256,000 prestige).
Compare this to lossless NPC farming where you lose nothing, and you gain everything. Which of these provides the greater advantage aka 'exploit' ?
The player that uses this method makes a trade-off. His army is weakened and he loses millions of resources and production time to obtain prestige. I personally don't suicide for prestige, but when I farm for medals from lvl 10 NPC, I also trade thousands of troops for medals. How is this any different?
Secondly, saying you use a 'vulnerability' for your advantage is also wrong. As there was no advantage, and the 'vulnerability' is not a vulnerability but it is the way the mechanics of the game was designed. Prestige and honor are tied to unit losses. The game is designed so that when you lose units, you gain prestige (dumb attacks yield more prestige than smart ones). If the devs are not happy with their design, they should change it but to call those who use the current design is like saying "You play the game in the way I designed it and this is exploiting me because you thought of something I didn't. It's your fault for outsmarting me so you're a cheater!"
