    Default Thank you, but...

I'd like to thank the staff at Evony who have apparently decided to reverse their earlier action and restore most of the prestige to the players who had been penalized.

This must have been a hard decision, and it took a lot of integrity to undo such a hotly contested action. I applaud for that.

That said, for most of us in the upper echelons, the ranking and prestige is only a symptom. The real issue was being called "cheaters" and "criminals." Restoring our pre-loophole prestige is a nice gesture, and at the risk of pushing too for too much, what we really need is a public and sincere apology.

We understand that you felt that something had to be done, and that your actions were done quickly and perhaps taken rashly. Sometimes in the heat of controversy people say things that they later regret. There is no harm in that, so long as an apology is made once the dust settles.

Again, on behalf of everyone affected, thank you for taking this first step, and I hope that you can make the next one.

Knuckles, please don't call anyone a cheater. You do not know the cause of the reversal...and for all you know it is because he was investigated and cleared of any wrongdoing.

We should all be happy if people had their prestige returned who were investigated and not found to be cheating.

To me however, it sounds like they are simply returning the people who were using the warrior "trick" back to what their prestige was before they used it which is almost like not get punished at all. Worse it sets a precedence that basically says if you find a glitch go ahead and use it for your personal gain and if it is later discovered you were cheating the system and other players they will simply take away the advantage you gained but you won't get punished.

    How is that a deterrent?

Regardless, expecting a "a public and sincere apology" is just silly.
