    Been supporting a huge scout army to protect your city from being scouted? Well guess what? They are totally useless. Something happened in a recent patch that made it so even with your gates open and 110k scout sitting inside - someone can send *1* scout and get a report without you even knowing.

    I suspected something when I kept getting scout reports while sending minimal scouts. And even though my cities are loaded with scouts, I have not detected a single scouting.

    This is a completely ridiculous change to the game. There is no point to having scouts anymore. Anyone can be scouted.

    EDIT TO ADD: No, the devs did not fix scouts. The scout situation did not need to be fixed. Instead, they have ruined scouts and I do not appreciate the subject title of this thread being changed.

    Which I think was the original intention of the devs. Regardless this is just a change in the system we must all adapt to now. Before, someone could keep 100k scouts and basically never be scouted, now apparently, it's not so easy.

    Yes, but I also thought scouts and beacon towers were meant to *detect* attacks. Was that not also the devs original intentions? 110k scout may be overkill. But if just ONE scout can get a report, that is not right.

    That is such a ridiculous statement to make. You know the devs intentions now? Stop playing devils advocate and realize that this is one of the most stupid patches/nerfs/fixes in the long history of horrible game play changes. This makes having scouts COMPLTELY worthless. They've already made ballistas and catapults horrid-- when are they going to stop making units suck? They only have so many choices until for the devs to nerf at this point, soon there will be no point in building anything other than archers.

    Lol, I got this scout report with one, yes hungry, but only one little scout. Bet he was not as hungry as the 100k I scouted in city. I am only guessing at weather his gates are open or closed. I will let you look and be judge of that.

    scouts were ment to protect from people scouting now there is no reason to even get informatics past lvl 1.......

    a really bad thing is there is now no way of telling if gates are open by scouting

    Or letting players think you are weak by sending something like 133 scouts on attack mode lol. I've used one scout to scout a prominent clan leaders base, with more then enough scouts (95k) and an army that would be eating roughly 10mill food.. Guaranteed he would have his gates open you dont just feed scouts for laffs.


    I dont enjoy my border citys 160k scouts scaring the **** out of anyone im fighting. Hopefully this will be fixxed soon, and ill catch a few of these scrubs scouting me.. The instant this is fixxed up if you have a half decent memory you could out number and clean up anyones scouts. Given the chance at cleaning up 95000 scouts with a battle horn and 100k scouts.. of someone who thinks their dangerous LOL =P

    The scouts may trigger a spy war rather than leading to attack the city. Whether to spark a spy war depends on beacon towers and their Informatics levels from both sides.

    Once a battle reaches 100 rounds, the Defender will win; however, Attacker will not lose all its remaining troops. The remainder of the Attacker’s troop will return back to the city.


    I am not sure if their intention was to never trigger a scout war - but that is what has happened.

    I had been wondering about this actually. I had been scouting people and getting reports of scouts in town but no scout battle so I assumed their gates were closed, go to attack and a horde of angry troops came after me. I had just assumed they were online, but I guess I forgot about this.

    Has anyone ever triggered a "scout war" yet?
