Oooh so scouts will be worth having again? good one - thanks

I'm glad i didn't decide to kill off all my scouts due to them being lazy useless idiots .... they've eaten me out of house and home and have refused to earn their keep for a week though.

Any chance of say... a 20 million food bonus? *grin* no? oh well... was worth a shot.

I think just go back to the old one it worked fine it was one of the few things no one could complain about.

The bigger lesson here is that the next time you guys want to do these sweeping changes you might want to talk to your players before shoe horning them into your live production environment, cause some of your players just MIGHT have input that your developers should pay heed to so you can avoid these unprofessional looking changing of directions, rollbacks and fixing-of-the-fixes.

Agree. The old system was fine. The main problem was the BUG that caused scouting missions to turn into attacking missions where players would lose thousands of scouts when Archer Towers started shooting at them during scouting. If only the devs would focus on bugs instead of screwing with the game rules this game would go a long way of being stabler and more professionally handled and managed.

Thank you for listening to our concerns on this matter. When I see a change made for the better regarding this, I will praise you for your work more, but I still have some reservations that this will get changed back to what it was. It may get changed, but I am skeptical that it will go back to the perfectly fine way it was.

Nonetheless, we all appreciate you responding to this post as often as you did. The biggest problem facing this game is the disconnect between the developers and the players, and communication is the key to smooth that over.

Frankly, If I cant defend against scouting then the games over for me. I have no interest in playing Romper Room online.

A war game with no wars... other than toddlers posting war spam, castles that can't be placed under siege, endless rule changes... yet zero ability to protect information.

Well... I learned about Civ on-line today as yet another round of new alliance members left in frustration.... thanks for the encouragement.

Seems to me the business model is obvious. Turn over players as quickly as possible, Why? Because revenues are generated from players that have not yet learned of the futility of trying to play the game.

Good luck with your "Barb" city purge.

Please bring on the purge. Hopefully a great many of these toddlers with hyper inflated egos (brought on by the numbers that represent their juggernaut armies) will throw their toys out of the pram in their haste to quit once their favourite exploit is gone. Hopefully the devs turn all those flats into L.1 deserts so the howls will be even louder. Can't wait for it

A small point I'd like to mention for the benefit of those players who are killing off their scouts. There is no need to kill scouts. Press the delete button on the troop and it opens a window which asks how many you want to delete. Makes your choice and then those troops will be deleted and your resources will be regained. If you throw your troops at barbs to kill them off then you'll not regain your resources and you'll likely incur a loss of prestige. (Just a tip from someone who actually cares about players interests).
