    How come they didn't have the device to restart the heart. I doubt it costs that much, especiallly for stars.

    There goes the pop legend.

    I remember when my sisters were trying to scare me with Thriller when I was young.

    That device is a defibrillator and it doesn't work all the time, only in specific circumstances. Nothing is a magical cure-all for death.

    I would like to remind everyone that we are discussing a highly controversial man who inspired strong emotions, both good and bad. For every one of you who is saddened at the death of a legend, there is someone who feels precisely the opposite. If, for the sake of peace, we are going to allow you to express your grief in this thread but not allow the people who feel otherwise to express their own feelings, then the least we can ask YOU to do is to keep this focused on a celebration of the good in Michael Jackson's life. Any further discussion in this thread of his legal issues or alleged misconduct with boys will result in immediate infractions and deletions. You have been warned!

    Those don't always work - they cannot save every life just by using them. =)

    I'm not that naive. As they say better to have one then need it and it's not there. They can be used to restart the heart in cardiac arrest but only with a short period, usually less then 1 minute. Probably even then, they might have brain damage. But in his case, six minutes is buh bye.

    Jackson = skint
    Jackson sells 50+ venues out in 3 days even though there is no way he could do them all in his condition (medically), tickets are also deemed to only be sold with a "No refund" policy due to the mass of demand?!
    Jackson takes out more than three times his standard amount of life insurance in April 2009
    Jackson "found not breathing in his home" one week before his first tour date
    Jackson's friends and family become richer than bill gates

    You wait, within the next few hours one of two things will happen:
    1) he will be absolutely fine and it will all be a massive PR stunt right before his tour
    2) he's dead

    Also, I recon he was assassinated if hes dead :>

    I heard that they knew he was dead but waited to call on the ambulance. Gazza, you think they are going to investigate his death?

    They were saying he was the king of pop. I believe he still is. Thriller was on the charts for over 35 weeks.
