I was disqualified early on and i was like the 7th entrant.

What people are sayin is that one of the entrants picture isnt really queenlike and looks more raunch than regal, now nathan seltzer has also come out and said that he deems it to be unacceptable....where is teh communication between mods and the rules, its evony down to a tee, game dynamics change as often as mods change their mind.

Anyway i just had my morning breakfast, time for the toilet before work, i will wave to the mod as i flush it

Hmm. Daisuke submitted her entry a long time ago and nobody said anything until now, when she's winning. The timing of her disqualification is too strategic.

But yea, showing who's winning and then telling voters whoever voted for the winner will get extra prizes is pretty bad. That said, I gotta do what I gotta do. Mo' money mo' money more!

Somebody has messed up bigtime, and somebody should lose their job, but hey why bother with justice when you can blame patches, blame developers, blame 4 year olds that drew on the monitors to help with the graphics instead of laying blame where it should go
Someone should lose their job? Overreaction much? Good Lord. It's a free contest for something they didn't even have to do in the first place.

I'm going to do my best to have the contest reset, to have the illegal entry disqualified and to change the rules to not reward players who voted for the candidate who winds up winning.
I personally think Daisuke's costume is fine - it made me think of belly dancing costume in fact. Not all cultures in so-called ancient and medieval times required all women to be completely covered in public. Trying to define which part of skin is allowed and which not for this type of contest after the fact is pretty silly.

There are lotsa problems of course. Visible vote count and extra prize for picking the winner is pretty stupid. I have no idea if this is a symptom of PRC not having a working democracy.

I see one additional problem that I haven't heard thus far. This is the positioning of the candidates in the voting booth. I would not be surprised if Daisuke received a significant boost simply by having her entry be posted at TOP LEFT - the first place most people in the world will look at first. The problem could be even more acute given the huge number of candidates.

Especially given the screw-up already, Evony may want to consider a different voting system - say a 2 round process where top 10 or top 5 vote getter goes into playoffs - 1 week voting for prelim and 1 week for finals.

    disclaimer: I don't care who wins, and there's 50+% chance I won't vote.

    Default Thank you

Dawnseeker, thank you for trying to do the right thing here. When the contest said that they would be selecting finalists, I had assumed that those who had not met the rules requirements would simply not be chosen as a finalist. Instead they chose to post every entry (except the few they removed from the threads altogether), regardless of if they complied with the rules or not. This thread was not intended to pick on the person in the lead per say, simply to point out the violations in the rules. As I said in my initial message, I did not expect to win myself, but this is not fair to all of the entries who did abide by what was asked of us. I also agree that the vote counter should either not be shown, or prizes for those who vote for the winner should not be given. All I ever hoped for was a fair contest by the rules. So again, I am glad to see that you are trying to take fairness to heart Dawnseeker and I wish you the best of luck.

My excuses? I'm saying I agree with all the criticisms of the contest and I'm trying to get the contest reset, the vote tallies hidden and the rules changed so that you're not rewarded based on your vote.

Where is the excuse in that?

    Stop attacking DS.

There is more going on here.

Give the people on the other side a chance to figure out what happened.
