This can be abused to see who has their gates open and who doesn't, correct?

Nvm didnt see the hotfix notes.

100% sounds pretty abusable to me. We shouldn't have the right to know for certain if gates are open or not.

Yeah...right. If it's abusable at all, it's much less abusable than using one piddly scout to scout anyone with impunity, not to mention infinitely less game-breaking. Seriously, if the gates are closed, the troops won't come out, which means that any scout can waltz right up to the gate. "Well waddayanno! The gate is closed!" So yeah, that argument falls flat on its face.

Besides, if the gate is closed, you still don't find out what is inside. And if you don't know whether the other player is online or not, you have absolutely no guarantee of them changing things up on you.

Are you kidding they listened and changed it? I put away 150K scouts yesterday because I no longer needed them. Now I will have to build them all back up? We have been complaining about the GD wall defense for months now and they have done nothing. So why are they listening here? and changing their minds?

STOP changing the game mechanics! This is not the bata version.. Why do we must always have to rework our game play to account for all the changes? Shouldn't all this have been worked out already? Seriously.. did you launch early or what?

I don't believe the "scout bug" is back. It was not a bug, but the way they intended scouting missions to fail, but I don't think it was supposed to come back. Can you please link the scout report?

So is it official that scouts will fight again if gates are open? I haven't seen the thread that announced this...

Hehe, if it was a ploy to get the community to respect Dawnseeker more

    It worked

Okay I do believe it's been fixed but saying as I can't get on the game I might as well have a moan about what happened to me. I scouted with one scout and got the intel on a city which had 7,000 scouts. My scout came back so gates must have been "shut". I then scouted the same city with 20,000 scouts and I got the same intel. However......the report said they'd had a fight. I assume the gates were closed but I don't actually know. If they had a fight then one must have won right? So did they fight, were the gates shut or open or was I just dreaming evony "fixed" it? Also, why have I a need for 20,000 scouts if one was enough to get that intel and who did he fight?

well look at it this way, if your gates are open then your opponent has a chance to kill your scouts and then you get nothing, except heart ache and broken dreams. On the other hand with the "fixed" scouting system, your opponent never gets the chance to defend themselves from prying eyes.

    Why?
I want that intelligence; it shouldn't be hard to tell if the gates are open for a scout based on all the other intel they collect so easily.
