So I've been thinking about this for a while but I'd love to know if anyone has tried it or is willing to try it.
So currently it seems in evony units are forced to take a "Full Step" every combat round until they are in range of an enemy unit. Now there seems to be no rule in effect preventing units from "running by" other units either, so could this ever set up a looping effect, where two fast units keep running around and around each other?
For example:
A pvp city battle where there is 1 abatis and no other defenses, should trigger an attack starting at 5000 range when cavalry attacks cav. With 10 HBR each cav should have 1500 speed. So to start
H1 <------------------- 5000 ---------------> H2
They each move towards each other 1500 a piece. Resulting in 2k apart
H1 ----------> 2000 <--------- H2
Now heres where it gets funny. H2 (defender horse) moves 1500 towards the attacker horse. It gets to 500 range, but its attack is only 100 (or 200 possibly). Neither horse is in attack range, so H1 (attacker horse) moves towards the defender, but it has to move 1500 units, so it overshoots by 1000.
H2 -----> 1000 <----- H1
They've flipped position, so now H2 moves backwards the other way 1500, but again overshoots by 500, still cant attack. H1 also repeats and overshoots by 1000.
H1 -----> 1000 <----- H2
Would this loop forevever until 100 rounds expires and the attacker goes home?
I wonder if anyone has tried this or would be willing to try it, I'd be quite amused to see the results.
