I've been farming NPCs and been putting a ton of money into iron because I don't produce a lot.. I'm guessing by the prices on other servers I should keep doing that.

I've been using stone a ton for towers.. hating the prices.
I'll be so happy when I am done with my cities for awhile because stone is a pain in the ass.

Server 1 is at food .75 wood .92 stone 0.1 Iron 0.94
I'd would say that, prices will continue to rise to about 2.5-3.5 gold. for wood/iron.
As at around that point, it no longer becomes profitable for people to farm lvl 10 npc's thus killing a large portion of the demand for wood and iron.
Currently The Wood and Iron usage of everyone that has the capability to farm a lvl 10 npc, sits at around 100m iron and lumber imported from the market to cover costs per day. Thus creating a situation of unbalanced demand.
100m iron? wtf. That's enough to build 1mil archers. Who is suiciding that many archers into lvl10s every day?
Is it? I know that it costs aprox 2.7m iron and wood per lvl 10 farmed. or 8.5k archers. I personally have and know people whom farm 20-40 lvl 10's a day meaning an iron usage of between some 60 and 120m iron per day. Same numbers with wood. I said 100m due to it being a round number, and I like round numbers. I suppose I coulda said 60m tho.
Still, around 2-3 dozen people using 60m wood and iron a piece still means billions of iron and wood siphoned from the market every day. Creating massive artificial demand.
The buy now prices for sever 11 are: F .129 L .698 S .397 I .699
Hopefully they fix resource production ( Particularly iron and food) long before then, but given that the food bug is still around, I guess game play and bugs are prioritized below map clutter and exp values for fortifications.
Bleh.
An interesting trend however had developed. On the first set of servers iron stayed rock bottom for the longest time (<.03) before suddenly shooting up sky high. On the newer servers iron prices meet or surpass wood rather quickly. I do not even think sever 11 is much more then a month old.
Gives cause to wonder over how many of the players on newer servers are true newbies, and how many are experienced players. Only reason for such prices is supply and demand. Seems people are producing far less iron, or buying much more.
Which is evidence that a high percentage of the players on the newer servers knew about the inherent flaws in iron production, and built sawmills or farms instead.
at the moment server 1 is
food - 0.7
lumber - 0.93
stone - 0.12
iron - 969
