There's no relation between the two. That argument may apply to the game as a whole and people who say you have no right to complaint about any aspect of the game unless you've spent money on it, but the amulet roll is basically a gift. Granted, the intention is to get other people to buy cents when they see high value items being won, but the fact remains it's a free gift and you ought not to complain about receiving it. Maybe of the OP had bought a bunch of amulets and gotten a disproportionate amount of crap he'd have a right to be upset (and people have done this and posted the results before, and still failed to show that it's not random, just that there's a higher chance of getting junk than good items). No aspect of the amulet roll inhibits your game experience in any way. Even for the content of the OP's argument, he says it's either too random or not random enough, which makes not a lot of sense. It's random and the only disparity is that it is not announced worldwide when someone wins a crappy item, so some people think that they're being gipped when all they see on their screen is people winning good items and all they win is crap, but it isn't the case. Everyone wins crap, and occasionally a good item.
