    Default So Dawnseeker, where is our compensation?

    About a month an a half ago, as people were losing massive amounts of troops during the numerous daily server crashes as well as scheduled(lol) downtimes, Dawnseeker tried to placate people by promising that the folks who have lost troops would be compensated.

    So its been 40 days since that promise were made. NO ONE has EVER gotten their lost troops restored even though there is a sticky thread in the Bug Report forum with hundreds of pages of complaints. I have kept a running tally over the weeks and have personally lost well over 120k archers, 50k ballistae, 35k transporters and who knows how much resources). Many people have given up, some have left the game for that reason. I have long since wasted more time/resource to rebuild all those troops, and the problem seems to have been fixed even though there was never any public admission on the patch note that it was addressed. But WHERE is the promised compensation? Or were you hoping that it would have been quietly forgotten?


    As an aside Dawnseeker, you also PROMISED to address this "serious and significant deficiency" (your own words) in customer support, specifically regarding them IGNORING people who sent customer support mails on certain subjects, including this one. To this very day (as recently as yesterday), your so-called customer support still don't reply to or acknowledge messages sent to them. What have you guys done in the last 1.5 months to address this sort of unprofessionalism and irresponsbility?

    Troops were reimbursed a loooong time ago.

    But your second point is valid, customer service needs some work. Don't blame it all on Dawnseeker though, he doesn't have unlimited power.

    You realize that even though he works for them, he has limited power with what he can do. Unfortunately, although plenty of people claim they never got their troops returned to them, other people have. Really, rather then complain at every little turn, you should just email/PM him, or maybe someone with more power in the Evony community and talk to them about it. Dawnseeker I believe is there to act as a way for the programmers to communicate to the public. He is not responsible for all the events that occur, and more or less just handles customer assistance, and thats a large volume to handle (mainly of people complaining). So I suggest you write him a polite e-mail and be patient.

    I will give you the point that customer service still needs a little work though, but patience is a virtue, and Evony is running with limited resources. I'm sure they are working on this point. (If you haven't noticed, they've added more liasons.)

    Seriously get off Dawnseeker's case about everything. Stop treating him like the one man army that birthed, developed, and answered calls to this game.

    Evony is a game where you don't have to pay to play it. You spend your time out of your choice and you don't need any sort of compensation for it. Games have bugs, flaws, and virtual things remain virtual for a reason.

    There is no couch in your house that just disappeared, no computer that blew up, nothing. It's virtual items on a game field.

    Can anyone out there treat this like the video game it was meant to be?

    Do people not believe in light-hearted fun anymore?

    Are we so driven through our regular daily lives to take everything around us so seriously that we have to drive all of that reality onto the doorstep of a virtual browser game where money is an optional thing?

    Stop asking for compensation, please.

    well said chino. Also, just going to say this, but a thread like this I don't think belongs in the general discussion area. Really, you should have just talked to him privately about it.

    I was not referring to the recent screw up / rollback where they refunded (some) people with troops and food, but instead the previous systemic problem of troops and resources magically vanishing into thin air, the problem that has earned 100+ pages of complaints in the Bug Report section, where he promised to make compensations to people.

    Stop with the hyperbole. This is a follow up on a promise he had made 40+ days ago that is unanswered. No one said anything about him birthing, developing and answering calls to this game, only to the promise that HE made.
