At least the argument has grown less heated.

I for one, have lost all ability to wage any sensible fact. Take for example a toddler swimmer, capable of swimming in a kiddie pool, with those inflatable arm bands.

Now, you've taken said toddler, to the Ocean. A shark infested one. And he doesn't have a life jacket.

So, now you see bits and pieces of the toddler in the ocean, but never again the whole to resurface.

I am glad that I have maintained the historical truth of the particular matter despite misinformation from others.

Arrogance and smugness do not suit you, my friend. As one who enjoys your writings, I really must ask that you try and humble yourself. After all, if you were to go on in the manner, you would alienate those around you, thereby to become something of a plague.

For the sake of being peaceable, won't you at least argue in a less personal manner?

I am sorry if trying to maintain historical fact is insulting.

Trying to maintain historical fact isn't the issue here. It's the way you punctuate everything with a gloating, or scathing remark.

Or, such as the above, something that is aimed to make me retract my statement from guilt.

I like you, and respect you, but such a way of discussing is not beneficial to anyone, least of all the point you attempt to make in such discussions.

Sorry, I just do not like misinformation that is made deliberately.

You are correct, I should not let someone who tried to destroy the information that I provided consume me. I should be confident in my abilities and not let false information misguide me. I became angry because I did not want other people who have a passion for history receive false and misleading information.

So, we can agree to return to a nice peaceable discussion?

Yes, I have full faith that we can. This thread should, however, be closed if more misinformation is spread. As a historian, I do not want younger individuals or older individuals receive false historical data.
