its a math question, not a physics question.
The question might as well have point A and point B instead of the moon and earth and a widget instead of a rocket car.

Well, given that the Moon orbits Earth at 2,000+mph and the Earth orbits the Sun at roughly an average speed of 100,000mph and that we're not taking gravity in effect for anything to move away from the Earth at only 100mph, that means the car won't keep within the gravitational field of Earth.
If that's the case, the car will actually get roughly 99,900 miles away from the Moon in the first hour.
It's possible you're really just positing a point A to point B question, but if that's the case I would say the Earth to the Moon was a bad choice, given all the variables we have beat into our head about it from the day we're born which are very obviously not listed here.
Perhaps just word it as point A to point B?
