    Yay! Hairspray and a lighter!

People keep saying that the daddy long legs is, but... if it's fangs are too short to penetrate human skin and they can't milk the venom and test on a live human, i'm kind of curious how they know this. :s

I mean maybe it is, I've heard that before, I just don't know how they figured this.

They probably have tested it through a test to figure out how poisonous it is compared to other species we know of

Lol well I hope so. I always kind of liked daddy long legs. As long as they didn't touch me. <.<

As for the spiders in Australia, I do remember watching a "Top Ten Deadliest..." show once that listed 7 of the deadliest spiders in the world are there...with like 3 right around Sydney almost exclusively. Eep! Brown recluses don't usually cause death...they cause necrosis of the skin. I got bit by one a couple weeks ago and did some home surgery to fix it all up. (Don't ask.)

Spiders in general freak me out though.....I think they should all be eradicated via hairspray and a lighter!

Edited to say that Devis beat me on the Daddy Longlegs thing!
I've heard that this is actually false. The venom has been tested, and the daddy-long legs aren't the most venomous. I think it was just started to frighten campers lol.

Well, I'm tired of these forums. Very little humor in them anymore. Adios all.

No, it's true! They can paralyze and kill a spider with a single bite in seconds, and they CAN milk the venom out and test it. I saw a show about it that demonstrated that approximately 1/10th of the amount they usually dispense in a bite is enough to kill a full-grown rat in less than 4 seconds. Again, the problem is the fangs. They're itty bitty little things that are as harmful to you as a feather.

I've heard it's false too. :s That's what makes me ask.

I'm still fairly certain the Brazillian wandering spider is the most venemous if for no other reason than I'm not sure that daddy long legs thing is accurate. But Brazillian wandering spiders don't always inject venom when they bite (funnelwebs do) so they may not be the most deadly.

Lol well I know they can milk the venom but they can't ethically test it on a human... still that's interesting if it's true. o.o Finally North America outdoes Australia on the most dangerous creatures.
