Normally I would have ignored this thread completely, except he suggested that all PvP be removed from the game. That was going too far. If someone doesn't have the inclination or understanding to play an MMORTS - it's not the end of the world, just find something else - Evony can be addicting for a while, but it's not really that important. But suggesting that an entire aspect of the game be removed was beyond silly.

What will the OP do when he encounters something else that's hard, request that the rules be changed again to accomodate him? The ridicule may do him some good.
Ridicule does nobody any good, except for the one ridiculing who enjoys making fun of others.

Actually, when someone has a rant, it can be seen as valid or invalid. I skimmed through his rant and it appears that he had a valid question. "What's the point of the game?"

When people scream they generally, simply want to be heard. It's not hard to read in between the lines. i.e. like any of us he got sucked into the game with the big boobie add and tried it out. He was the 10% that hung on long enough to realize that, "Wow, there's some cool real time strategy here. Let's see if I can get good at this game and figure it out."

So, after the boobie stim wears off, which is generally about 2 weeks, he starts to thinking, "hmmm.... I'm getting attacked, I attack... to what end?" And then gets a little frustrated because he plays it out in his head, right next to the boobies, and after getting slammed some more by some bully thugs, he starts to get frustrated. Any of us would if we watch our little pile of stones toppled every day or so.

Several of the guys respond in simple terms, "it's pvp." Plain and simple. He had expectations that were not in line with the game.

Much better to actually hear what people are saying, along with having a little compassion, instead of doing the 21st century "Hit and Run Diss For Laughs."
