Just started up this hobby...
its called geocaching...
it is kindof like modern day treasure hunting in a way...
very intriguing....
It happens to be one of the fastest growing hobbies....
now, is anyone here into geocaching???
I will probably hide a geocache tomorrow...
but yeah, geocaching is where people hide caches and then post the coords online (on the geocaching site, pm for address) then others enter the coords on their gps and try to find it...
its pretty awesome!

I have a friend who did this. They found an item that was eventually hidden in a car park, it looks fun!

CHINO: there is always a log book, and sometimes there is something you can take but when you take it you have to leave something of a equal value...

If I ever get a GPS, this is something I definitely want to do. I've heard a lot about it, and treasure hunting is right up my alley! Will you tell us all about the things you find?

SHAWNHATH: You dont need a gps to do it, some people do it without a gps... i noticed that there is an article on how to do it without a gps on instructables (PM for URL)...
Earlier today I hiked up a mountain to find a geocache, I was the second person to find this one, it was placed 2 weeks ago... I signed the logbook. I had nothing to leave in it so I didn't take anything from it...Last edited by DeSalvionjr; 07-15-2009 at 01:41 AM.
