No, I'm simply telling him why he's seeing this ad
If something seems too good to be true, you're supposed to shoot it just in case.

You're right, your response was fine. But following that was just a conversation about (XXX)

Oh and there aren't already 10 threads about this topic just on page 1 of the forums... why make another?

And does anyone else think it's funny that someone with Quagmire as their avatar would be such a prude? Giggidy!

Actually you are quite wrong. The offensive ads show up EVERYWHERE- no matter your browsing history it seems. I've seen them on skreemer and many gaming blogs, pirate bay, and photobucket and I've never gone near a **** site.

Also the advertising is NOT working. It should be evident that for a long term business strategy to be effective it's better to retain the customers you have than try and convert new one. It seems that Evony is not in this for the long term since there has yet to be a satisfactory answer and subsequent change to the outrage that's been expressed day after day.

How many people have quit because of the ADs? Unless this is your first online game you would know that players will complain all day about something and then come back tomorrow for more. Losing a few prudes who probably never bought game coins anyway is no big loss compared to how many new players the ADs are bringing in.

    Ugh.

I can't find the thread discussing this but here is the response.

Unnecessary thread if you would just read before making a thread that has been discussed 30842385 times.

It never ceases to amaze me to hear people say, "oh well you don't like the ads so you must be a prude!"

When these ads are scattered all across the interwebs, it makes this company look clueless at best. And what does that say about the people who play the game? And the ones who spend real money?

In the end it's a matter of pride, and this game's ads have little to be proud of, unless you are a lingerie site administrator.

And yeah this has already been discussed over 9000 times.
