Conquering a City

I have scanned through about 10 pages in this forum and have yet to come across a thread about conquering a city.

I've been attacking a city numerous times, and have gotten their loyalty down to 32. Do I have keep on attacking until their loyalty is at 0, or is there something I am not doing?

The loyalty has to get down to 0.

Also, once there loyalty is down to 5 their gates open and their army attacks you. As a saving grace if you aren't expecting it. *Lost about 1k cav's on my first city conquer a while ago, put a small hamper on my plan and had to send my archers out to take care of his troops, took an hour to get their since this city was out in the middle of nowhere*

Hi, can anyone tell me the rules about attacking cities where the owner clearly hasn't been playing since they set up their account? I am surrounded by these guys with no flats in which to expand and I want to grab one. Am I able to do this or is there protection for these "absentee landlords"?

If they're inactive go right ahead. Inactive players are gold mines for resources and possibly level 10 things that they've used their scripts on. Recently stole a city from a guy with a level 10 town hall, academy and farm (Free level 10 agriculture research )

Make sure that this city is not their only city, you cannot conquer a persons last city
