Thread: Age 2 Information

    Default Age 2 Information

Where is all the good information about Age 2?

Is it an improvement upon current game? Or will it be a new game in which servers are reset?

If it is an improvement upon current game, where are patch notes and information? I see lots of players leaving the game over things that can be fixed by patches ie. unit upkeep, defense power - where are the comforting patch notes for these players to keep them playing???

I don't think it's a good thing to keep this info secret until release... there needs to be some communication here, reassurances.

Actually, if you look around some of the various threads, you will see some bits of information put out by some of us who were lucky enough to get in on the short lived Beta. Tons of new items, a new class of NPC city called Historic Cities that look different from NPCs and have names like Bristol and South Hampton, a whole new way of dealing with Heros ( they sitll have base stats, but now there are serveral items of Gear they can wear that enhances those stats in various ways), and a bunch of other stuff.

Age 2 looks like it will be very cool when it comes out. The Beta didn't last nearly long enough for a lot of the new items ( especially the Strategems) to get tested though, so what information is out there is sparse.
This will be a running tab on server 27...

Counter stopped at 250K Prestige : Reason, account still stuck at knight, after 25,560 attacks on valleys. Account abandoned.

Thanks for the reply. I read somewhere that there will be a progression quest or event for progression into Age 2. Was this included in your beta experience?

What I really want to know is... will the improvements of gameplay also affect Age 1? Or is it exclusively Age 2? If it is exclusive, why bother keeping an Age 1 around? Or will Age 1 become just like a Quest Age to get new players started until they are ready for Age 2?

I really hope they got enough info on their beta to make a balanced experience for all... your comments don't seem to give me that hope, seeing as it lasted not too long.

I played the Age II beta for one day. The graphics looked the same and there didn't seem to be a whole lot of changes.

Here's the following changes I saw:

Save the Queen / King quest:
Looks like there is an ongoing quest to try to woo the King or Queen depending on what gender you are. 1st step was meet a certain prestige requirement so she/he takes notice. 2nd step was build the town hall up to a certain level. I'm sure there will be a lot of these types of things in the series.

    Hero Quests:
There was a 3rd tab on the Quest page alongside the regular quests and Daily quest (amulet). It was blank so not sure how it will be.

    Hero Gear:
When doing a view on the hero you can see that they can be outfitted with armor and weapons. There are gear boxes that give random items in the shops. I'm not sure where else you can get them. The gear all have level requirements. I got some Worn-tooth dragon sword that gave +morale. Not sure how that will play into the battles.

    Strategems:
These items do a little different things as a buff/debuff effect. For example I saw some add to the attacking player's mobility distance. Some messed with the opposing player's farm production.

Never got a chance to do battle so I wasn't sure if that was different. Also these changes are not going to be the final Age II changes. I'm sure there will be much more. However these are the only features I came across.

Oh, the third tab on quests was blank for you? FOr me it read Hero Quests, and the first one listed said that you had to get a group of people together and conquor one of hte Historic Cities.
