Yeah, surprisingly the guy wasn't too mad... just scared out of his mind at first. I honestly don't know how I would handle something like that. I mean, they changed the term from 'accidental discharge' to 'negligent discharge' for a reason. Chances are he was just playing with his weapon in the back of the truck.

And, yeah, I log onto Evony after every mission. Luckily we have the interweb in our CHUs... it's too slow to play anything else, but it'll play a simple browser game just fine.

Then they take the people who couldn't hack the tests and add them in with the infantry classes and give them fun and harmless little toys like rifles, grenades, and AT-4's.

Please don't take this as a slam on our infantry....I think MOST of the ones I have met are quite intelligent. Unfortunately, if there IS a Forrest Gump in the training class, he's gonna end up in there with them instead of driving a desk.
I don't take offense to it. I know exactly what you mean FIRST HAND. I know quite a few people in my platoon that shouldn't really be in the army. The thing is, we're not infantry. We're artillery, there's just not a lot of use for us over here right now so they have us doing the infantry cat's job. I'm not complaining though, we have a lot of fun. Anyways, you only have to score a 31 on the ASVAB to be infantry. That's extremely low, considering the ASVAB tops out at 99. Some people also get waivers for their low scores. The army is really hurting for soldiers. Then again sometimes **** just happens... like one time my platoon sergeant caught a field on fire with a smoke grenade in front of a general. Sometimes accidents do happen.

Oh, and there is ALWAYS a Forrest Gump.. ALWAYS.
