Considering the usual chaos of the forums, there probably ever isn't a good day to do that.

I have to say though, TWT, that your claim seems a bit... unfounded. Yes, the mods are clamping down on spam and derailment. That's their job. It's what they were "hired" or whatever to do-- keep order and calm in the threads.

I don't know much about the other mods, but I know at least that FoxyBunny, Logrus, and Cyhort (from the little I've seen of him since idt he's on this section of the forums actually, but you just said mods in general) in particular have been doing good jobs at keeping things in order-- and considering what we give them to work with that's saying something.

As to the united front thing... that sounds vaguely like you're trying to organise a riot of some kind which, as we've seen in the past, are uncalled for and fairly ineffective. When you signed up for Evony you agreed to abide by their rules. These are the rules. Complaining about them after you hit the "I accept" button seems a bit ridiculous, don't you think? At least they allow the games to continue as long as they stay under the premise of being games. If someone wants to talk about something not related to the games then they have the bar, convo thread, pms, or even a new thread if they dare risk it and can keep it on topic.

And after the mess the mods were left to clean up earlier I can't blame them for not wanting as many pointless messages wandering around either. How are they expected to figure out for example if someone posts a three word comment about cheese that it actually originally came from a thread about music?

I'll admit that sometimes it is easier and enjoyable to just wander aimlessly off topic without going to a different thread, but derailment and spam isn't exactly supposed to be convenient for us considering it's not supposed to be allowed at all.

Avarwen, thanks for the props, and you have hit the issue on the nose.

You stated that better than I was able to, I for some reason could not find the correct words, where as you have. Good job, I gave you rep for that.

lol, me organise a riot? No not at all what I meant. Rather, I just meant that we should try to work together to achieve our goals if they are benefical as a whole. I don't blame Logrus for pushing the rules so much after what has happened. I can think of specific post that never should have been made back a while ago, and when he had to sort through all that junk, I feel for him.

Anyways, like I said many times before, everything comes down to the judgement of the person. Thats we only get off topic on threads for certain reasons, and once we do, those threads tend to die fairly quickly. Anyways, I hope you guys see what I mean for the most part, its really hard to explain what I specifically mean, and without seeing things I have, perhaps you won't understand all of the backroom events that occur here. Anyways, I have never participated in any of the riots, though I think I've been mistaken as being apart of them before.

Also, as a side-note, Logrus never saw any of those due to his limited internet connection at camp, so he isn't really familiar with how those began in the first place.

Well, I'm tired of these forums. Very little humor in them anymore. Adios all.

+rep to Avarwen for that one.

Dawnseeker, you just earned a long-term slot in my siggie.

I hope you all realize we aren't trying to stop the fun and games! The games are ABSOLUTELY still allowed, as Logrus already said. The random comments and spam and derailment are still allowed, within a reasonable amount of threads that are fair game for such. But if someone wants to discuss something, is it really fair that a few certain people are guaranteed to spam and troll until the thread is either closed or so hopelessly off-topic that the OP will never ever get to discuss what he/she originally wanted to? We only want to chill that particular trend out.

I agree with Foxy. Fun and games are fine, as long as no one is having fun.

    Exactly! Now you understand.
