Thread: Who are the barbarians

    Default Who are the barbarians

When I signed up, I though it was cool to have the NPC Barbarian cities so close. I assumed they would send out raiding parties, or something, and that the NPC cities would be an ongoing threat to my brand new city.

After a week of playing, it seems the NPC cities just want to live in peace, and won't harm a fly if left alone. Instead, it seems the players are the barbarians, and its the players who attack the NPCS without provocation for the sole purpose of plunder.

Don't get me wrong, plunder is a good thing. But shouldn't the players be called the barbarians since we are doing the plundering against the peaceful cities? Or am I missing something.

Good points. It's probably one of them deals where we see ourselves as civil and men of faith so we must convert the savages by plundering them and making them starve repeatedly.

Afterall our honor is usually boosted by attacking kings in their sleep who leave their gates open.

    Barbarians should be renamed farmers.
