Exactly. There's a theory that perfume was a scientific developement to distance ourselves from the primitive nature of mating, making it more conscious, and less instinctual, less chemical. I think it fits up there with conspiracy theories, but it does have some weight.

As well, wearing that stuff effectively renders one of your senses useless. Smell is an important sense. And, wearing cologne or perfume is going to make it so that you'll only be able to smell things that overpower the perfume/cologne.
