Yeah, when you are working hard, you don't notice a thing.

When I was 19 and a sub-contractor, I was building a deck on this one house. I tapped a nail, turned to the guy I was working with because I thought he said something, then turned back and there was blood all over the place. Somehow, while my head was turned away, I had cut the end of my thumb off, on a nail, not hammering.

So yeah, I can understand how drizz never noticed he got bit until later.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it!

I've also had some pretty nasty cuts and not noticed until it was pointed out to me.

It's common to be able to focus on something else and not pay attention to pain...even if it is incredibly hurtful.

    Haha, yeah basically that.

You can be distacted by pleasure too though!

I had cracked my head in the back (was bleeding) and didn't even notice until I heard "Um, Sarah your head is bleeding..."

    Me: O_O!?!?!?

Ouch!! I'm surprised you didn't feel wetness on your head... wasn't it very painful?

It wasn't a huge gash, and my head DID hurt a little bit but I assumed it was due to whacking it once jumping off the loft...

I hadn't realized I cut it open and was having too much fun to think of it as anything more than a mild headache.

I also sliced the underside of my big toe and blood was GUSHING out (sorry for people with weak stomachs when thinking of blood) but I didn't feel a thing. It was oddly numb. I wouldn't have even known it was cut if I hadn't seen it happen.

A few days ago I was brushing my hair in my bathroom and I happened to look in the bathtub and there was a huge spider in it. So I went and got my brother to show him and he started to freak out about it. It turns out that it was a Brown Recluse, which are pretty poisonous too. Lol. So he went to squish it with a towel and it jumped at him and he freaked out and dropped the towel and the stepped on it with his boot. It was pretty creepy. Lol.
