Thats 2.9x the speed of sound. Now I'm really impressed. That must be some wicked drugs they're on. Either that or rocket ships.

**edit: For those not familiar with Miles per hours, 2280 mp/h = 3369.3 km/h
not sure where you got 2280 miles per hour from.

Relief stations jack up speeds at levels 1, 4, 7, 10. So a level 9 adds as much speed as a level 7. A level 7 gives 5x speed to a unit.

To attack a valley 100 miles away (no relief hut bonus) it would take my warrior 4 hours 10 minutes to reach it, with level 10 compass.

    So, 100 miles = 400speed * 250 minutes
    400 speed = 100 miles / 250minutes = 24 miles / hour (pretty fast run speed)
    so 1 speed = .06 miles / hour.

Now let's look at some other rates. A pikeman runs at a rate of 300speed, which is 18miles / hour. A bit high.

A cavalry amusingly runs at 1000 speed or 60 miles an hour and a scout moves at 3000 speed or 180 miles an hour (I assume they've been granted F1 racers )
With lvl 10 compass a scout moving at 6000 speed is travelling roughly half the speed of sound. No wonder your other troops can't see em coming!
    So, 360 mph * 5 = 1800, not 2280.

My other thread makes light of the fact that speed and range are both borked, in addition to the speed with which catapults must hurl boulders (multiple times every few seconds). Its best not to think about it.

Ok my maths suck, so they're only roughly 2.5x times the speed of sound. Thanks for helping me out. They're still bloody quick though
