Because my point is that someone can, with almost no time or energy, effortlessly stalemate someone 100x more powerful than them. We all want to keep our goods safe. If you're lower on the totem pole and easy meat to your neighbors, then build warehouses. That's a mechanic I'm fine with, because I have a counter-mechanic; privateering.

I have no way to counter stashing your resources in build queues and cutesy crap with moving things around. Hell, if I have an army of 200k attacking your city, I can't even prevent a goods caravan from making it out of or into the gates? Or stop a contingent of troops as it waltzes by? There needs to be other options available, and its silly that the best one is to force you into riots by spam attacks of no value.

How are wars supposed to ever end? We can't take peoples' last city, I can't even effectively hamper their war effort without resorting to goofball tactics that make no sense. The game is about fighting, and I'm sorry, but if you **** someone off 100x stronger than you or are a rich soft target, you deserve to get hit. We need extra tools to do this, because we currently don't really have the option, if we're fighting even the most MARGINALLY effective of opponents.

There's a reason that countries like Luxembourg, Swaziland, and the Republic of Palau aren't running things in the real world. They don't have the power to, and if they decide to start doing things that **** off superpowers, well, then they have to deal with those consequences. No offense to anyone from those locations either ;p.

Here, you can do whatever you want with impunity, because causing actual damage to someone is so damn hard. If we're not allowed to fight, make the game a city builder. If we're supposed to fight, make it truly possible.
