since this thread was bumped, here's my template for a city.



The forge can be destroyed once a workshop is up

The workshop can be destroyed once your walls are 9 (or 10 if you want to use a mich script)

The inn can be destroyed as long as you have one in a city nearby (you can purchase heroes from another inn and reinforce with 1 scout... this city is off by itself hence the reason it has an inn)

Warehouses are worthless, never build them

Embassies are godly when you're in a good alliance, always have one at 9

Barracks are the most important building in the game. End game is war war war so once you have your techs your gold and resources just go to more and more troops. The faster you produce them the more powerful you are.

Only build 1 quarry for the walls and once the walls are max, destroy the quarry. Stone is the cheapest commodity on most servers so it's better to just buy stone and produce more expensive resources (stone is 0.08 on server 2 with food being 1.0 and iron/lumber both being over 2.2)

At 20% tax I have 14,400 idle population with this setup and that's with 18,000 working the farms. I make 3,668 gold after paying my heroes even with 9 of them being in the feasting hall. With all level 9 farms and no valleys the city produces 552,700 food per hour.
