From what I can tell, all you need is the correct academy level in each city to take advantage of the research you have already done. I have an academy at level 2 and I am getting all of the resource research benefits even though I don't have farm and sawmills of the needed levels.

What I want to know is: can I destroy some of the things when I no longer need them for research, or after I have used them simply to build something else? Can I build my wall up to level 10 and then destroy my workshop?

No one's made any mention of the beacon tower, is it necessary?

Also, for the highest level walls, what is the requriment for forge & workshop?

I think what would be VERY valuable and pertinent to this thread topic, would be for someone to compile an ORDER of buildings to build in a new secondary city: what would be the consensus #1 most important building, then the #2, then the #3, etc. etc. The buildings voted towards the LAST of that list would be the least important......

Its not like a person could take my loyalty down to 0 fast.

I also didnt build a marketplace. It only takes 2-3 minutes to transport stuff from one colony to the other so not a big deal to move things to and from the marketplace in the first city.

I have everything else, and 2 barracks and 2 warehouses in each colony.
I built warehouses because you can never have enough soldiers to hold back every enemy out there. That is, theres always a person or group thats stronger and I will need reserve resources to build troops back up no matter how much they may pillage.

Basically, I like to be prepared for anything.
Its not like 2 more cottages will matter, this game is never ending that I know of, so while its good to get gold fast, 2 more cottages worth arent so big a deal compared to being prepared for anything.
2 barracks per town is not nearly enough.
I have between 7 and 9 in each town, and I'm trying to figure out how to squeeze even more in. Especially when you start building the higher lvl units, the ones that take 30 mins each.

No a stable is not a requirement of cavs or cats but horseback riding is and a stable is a requirement of horseback riding

Default Tear down the Inn after it is no longer needed

The Inn is needed for two things: to recruit heros and to upgrade the feasting hall.

If you have multiple cities you only need 1 Inn for recruitment of heros.

After you build a feasting hall, upgrade it to some reasonable level, I usually stop at level 5.

Now, tear down the Inn. Obviously keep 1 Inn so you can recruit heros, but in all your other cities, tear down the Inn.

Build a barracks where the Inn used to be.

i just built up my houses as fast as i could, have 16 houses in my cities so i get faster gold production so i can just buy things i need to upgrade and build

my 2nd city has 6 barracks for producing my army while my main only has 2

doing it with the house thing i had my production of all resourses over 30k and few of them up to around 70k while my gold is about 8k

but i cant get any medals anywhere to advance my rank so im just stuck with 2 cities

one of the first things you should build IMO is an academy... because it transfers a lot of your research, you get the benefits of all of the research you've done before.

The only time you don't need the Stable is after you get horseback riding to level 10. The Relief station is needed in every town, unless you don't plan on moving troops between your city to others of yours or allies faster than normal. If you don't have a problem with getting resources, then you don't need a market. I think warehouses are important, but if you think your army's big enough to protect your resources, by all means don't build them.

Stable level effects horse training speed. Unless you want to spe******e horse training to particular cities, build and upgrade your stables everywhere.

Build Inn to enable a feasting hall but possibly demo after hall is built. Keep a high level inn somewhere as heroes can be lost. You could rely on capturing but it'd be a hassle finding good ones.

You may as well not have any barracks in a town if you've only got 2. 2 is just an honour engine for other players.

High level beacon tower is essential. Without it you'll get no info on incoming army strength, the player attacking you nor the attacking town. All this info give you options.
