    Default OMG: Best idea evar!

(Note: This does not belong in the PC/Games section as it is not a game, it is a concept. Different thing entirely.)

Anyways, I had the idea for a zombie FPS set in medieval times. I mean, Dark Ages armies were perfect for zombie warfare! Pike walls, pit traps, catapults, flaming arrows, abatises, pitch... all perfect anti-zombie weapons. In addition, knights would be able to wade into a sea of zombies, hacking and slashing, and not get bitten, because they wore full-body armor!

This game would involve elements of FPSes, RPGs, and RTSes. You would play as a knight, using a variety of weapons to kill millions of zombies as you make your way towards the citadel of the evil necromancer who created the zombies. Every so often, you would make it to a city, and you would have to defend it from a zombie horde. Given a limited number of people, you could assign some to be pikemen, some as archers, some to dig traps, and some to man siege engines. After setting up the defenses, you would go out and fight with the soldiers to stop the zombies.

The only half-decent name I could think of was "Knights of the Living Dead". Anyone got a better idea?

I like it! And possibly a good RP idea... *Hint, hint* It could well be a great hit...

    Or a bad failure.
I have heard flaming shots are fun. Anyone want to try?

Zenrax, the common misconception is that medieval knights wore full body plate mail armor for their entire period of existence.

Medieval knights only wore full body plate mail armor beginning in the 16th century or the 1500's during the Great Italian Wars from 1494-1559 C.E. These heavy cavalry units or gendarme were utilized by the Valois and Bourbon dynasties of France so as to charge and break though the tercios or pike and shot formations [composed of halberdiers, pikemen and harquebusiers]. The compagnies d'ordonnance in France were utilized for recruiting heavy cavalry units for a permanent standing army of heavy cavalry.

Cataphract units were first fully integrated to the Roman army by Emperor Gallienus during the 2nd Century C.E due to Eastern influences through the use of such heavy cavalry by the Palmyrenes, Sassanian Persians, etc. Even the kataphractoi/cataphract units of the Byzantine Empire and the clibanaphoroi/clibanarii units of the Sassanian Persians did not wear full body plate mail but chain mail armor, lamellar armor, etc.
