I've noticed recently on a few of the servers I play, that the warrior spam is becomming increasingly more common in server wars.
Basically throwing away 2k warriors rainbowed to take out some trebs and traps before coming in for the kill. In addition, if gates are opened, and there are horse units, you get to take out some of those too for the price of 2k warriors AND get a free scout report of the remaining troops.
One theory is Trebs/traps have a range of 5k and if you take them out, the battle starts at a closer range, thus negating the majority of the deadman zone or whatever. Traps also can take out horse units.
There is no counter to this and for the small cost of some honor it's the viable solution at this time. I feel this is lame, borderline on exploitive tactics for a lot of reasons.
Horse units should not be retarded enough to run blindly into battle and be lost when ATs can mow down the warriors with no loss.
Treb units should not be retarded enough to auto fire on warriors because they are supposely designed to counter mech units. These things are expensive, one shot and done, comeon...
People use this tactic also as a way to get a report of whats left in the city even though they are completely annihilated. I cant say this is wrong because its built into the game as being possible but I still feel its cheap...
If you try to send scouts and fail you get nothing except a msg that you were annihilated, so why is it ok now to use warriors to get troop counts? It defeats the whole purpose of having scouts to hide your troop count in my opinion.
I cant say I don't use this as well because i have no other choice at times, but I still feel cheap doing it...
Anyone else use this or have any opinions on the subject?

I'm sure Keeldawg that you truly think everything about this game is completely perfect and deserves no tweaking.
