Thread: So yeah,

    Default So yeah,

On browsing the forums in depth, particularly the moderators profiles, I find a lot of people who get "modded" for particularly asinine reasons. I particularly like the people that are "modded" who bring up a particular topic and provide reasonable facts, yet due to the fact it reveals the nasty history and reputation the company has gained, people are banned from the forums for it. How cute.

I got banned once for asking about the poor medal drop rates. The thread of mine had several thousand views and hundreds of replies....don't think they liked a thread that pointed out the truth of a flawed system to keep the game "balanced."
I then got banned again for questioning why I was banned. Was told not to post it publicly, yet when I sent a private message to the mod who banned me...2-3 weeks ago, have I received a response yet? I'm sure the mods are ordered to respect the wishes of the communistic company they work for.

I've seen people get banned when following the rules, yet someone goes and calls someone every name in the book, makes slander about evony and many many other rules broken, they get reported and still don't get banned.

So, apparently as long as your post doesn't attract more than X number of views from the people at large regarding something negative about the game, you are safe to say whatever you want.

Everyone says communist, and yet, they don't understand the true meaning of communism I think.

The term you want to use, is "Fascist", "Dictatorship", but communism doesn't carry the terms that you want to convey.

Communism is a term that's been twisted by history and ignorance. So, please, remember to use correct terminology.

From an encyclopedia when referring to North Korea and China (where this game's developers are): "These regimes are characterized by the rule of a single party that tolerates no opposition and little dissent." - sound much like what goes on in these forums?

One definition of communism: a totalitarian system of government in which a single authoritarian party controls state-owned means of production.
Definition of totalitarian: of or relating to centralized control by an autocratic leader or hierarchy : authoritarian, dictatorial; especially : despotic b : of or relating to a political regime based on subordination of the individual to the state and strict control of all aspects of the life and productive capacity of the nation especially by coercive measures (as censorship and terrorism)

Actually, Communism refers to something along the lines of every man being equal, in a stateless nation where every action is to the benefit of everyone else.
    Hence the derivation from "Common".
It's more a concept where there is no authority, similar to anarchism, but still controlled.

Communism has been wildly skewed over the countless years since the writing of the Communist Manifesto though, so there are many variations, and many definitions.

Although we could debate sociology all day on the subject, I do agree the ORIGINAL meaning of communism was far different than today's take on it, especially from "Westerners." However, most countries outside of China consider them to be communistic (more of a dictatorship in my opinion and from what I gather, yours), hence my original reference to communism.

So, we agree. My task is done, now I'll slink away into the shadows!

umm, dont you think the derivation of communism is commune..

A commune is an intentional community of people living together, sharing common interests, property, possessions, resources, work and income. In addition to the communal economy, consensus decision-making, non-hierarchical structures and ecological living have become important for many communes.
it was basically eastern hippy-ism right?

LOL. I was a sociology major in college and don't want to delve deep into the original meaning of communism....but Marx is rolling in his grave to see what today's people consider it to be I'm sure.
