    Does just holding a valley increase your resource production? I can't find the answer to that anywhere. My flag flies--is that enough?

    Yep, all u need is ur flag on it, can't do anything else to make it produce more other than right before server maint. abandon and then after server maint retake the same valley it will be a level higher.
